When a Rotarian approaches business people, friends, or neighbors with a request to support a worthy project, they reach for their wallets and checkbooks and freely and generously give their support. Citizens of the community know upfront what Rotary has done to to make our community a better place to live, work, and play.
That is what Rotary is all about. From the beginning (the Rotary Club of Swansboro was chartered in 1978), every club member has recognized his/her responsibility to make a difference in the community by demonstrating Rotary’s motto: Service Above Self.
